Spectre Effects ApS, is lead by a passionate SFX-specialist with many years of experience in mechanic, electronics and pyrotechnics, who is always ready to create unique and safe physical and mechanical special effects for both loyal and new customers in the Danish, Scandinavian and international film, TV, event and commercial field.

About the company

Spectre Effects ApS is mainly geared for the Film and TV producers, comercial industry, still photographers, art directors, DOPs and any of the functions that require our special sets of skills, but also other venues such as theatres and events agencies.

We offer a wide variety of reliable and effective physical and mechanical special effects such as rain, snow, smoke, fire, blasting and pyrotechnical work as well as custom manufacturing capabilities, rental of SFX equipment and expendables needs.

We combine a wide range of cross field capabilities, skills, and unconventional thinking, when approaching any new productions or job, to reach the maximum of the creative vision and make innovative solutions. Planning, and design of the individual elements of a special effect, is an extremely important part of our work, where we use our knowledge and prior experiences to create something completely unique.

Our fabrication and machine workshop is fitted with all the traditional machines for working in a wide variety of metals and materials – including lathes and milling machines, saws, drill press and welders, but also more modern equipment such as plasma cutters and 3d printers both resin and FDM. This enables us to have a very quick turn around, and effectively can change to new jobs, without being weighed down by manufacturing not done in-house.

Spectre effects has a team of skilled coordinators, technicians and assistants ready to be brought into action, who all bring a wide variety of skills and backgrounds. This includes mechanics, industrial / offshore divers, explosives experts, military professionals are just some of the few groups our technicians and advisors represent.

Safety, Economy & Aesthetics.

Spectre Effects always prioritizes the safety of actors and the crew on set, and will gather any permits needed from the authorities, and corporate with the rescue services, if necessary. We work under a very strict set of rules, to make sure that any and all safety measures and general safety standards are upheld.

Spectre effects will always solve the tasks presented within the economical situation the production is in. When working on large and complex jobs, the production will always be notified during the entire process, if any budget problems arise.

Spectre Effects takes great pride in delivering effects that are as true to life, and as realistic as possible. We have great respect for CGI, and enjoy working together to create even more stunning art. With that said – nothing beats a rolling car, a rainstorm, or a building on fire, in front of the rolling camera.
